Views from an Adult

I was reading my morning newspaper like I normally do on the weekends. It is my way of slowing down from a long hard work week, when I saw an ad for a group what was meeting for speed dating. I thought that sounded very interesting, and thought maybe I'll give it a try. I could never go by myself though, so I would have to give my friend Shelly a call. I heard her talking about wanting to go to a speed dating meeting and thought she might come with me.

I give Shelly a call and she said yes, she would love to go. The speed dating group is tonight. I need to take care of some things before tonight. Like get my hair cut, and to get my nails done. I was going to do that today anyway, but now I just have to get that done, and go shopping for a nice outfit. I was thinking maybe I could a really cut dress for tonight. I know my favorite store downtown is having a sale, so I want to definitely check that out.

I start to get a little more excited the closer it gets to leaving for the speed dating group. I hope I will meet a handsome, lovable, passionate guy that loves to just hang out and do simple things together. I know finding your soul mate at one of these meetings is highly unlikely, but you do have to keep an open mind about these things. If you don't, how are you going to find anything you want. I just won't get my hopes up too high. I will be realistic about it. I definitely do not want to meet someone who just wants to have a fling and that is all. I want to meet a guy that wants a relationship for the long haul. I want to take it slow at first, but I do want someone that I can love for the rest of my life, and to eventually marry and have children.

I'm not looking to get married right away, but I do want someone who is serious in a relationship. I don't want to be strung along and just to play. I am serious with the relationships that I have with men. I am not the type of person to just go out and have sex and that is just it. I want more, but willing to wait for it.
